Old-new trend, Pouch handbags

Yet another “oldcomer” this time from the 80’s. We are talking about the pouch bag, a handbag with sack shape, so usual back in the 80’s. Nowadays we can see it everywhere, catwalks, street, parties and even big fashion chains are displaying it.

This is one of so many trends which have been born in the street; it comes from the idea of rescuing those bags our mums use to carry around all day back then, straight from mum wardrobe or vintage shops.  Also Kate Moss was seen using this bag some years ago at Glastonbury and some labels like El Delgado Buil feautered them at its 2008 summer collection. The pouch bag is now regarded as an “it bag” and even big brands have started to create its own versions.

From Miu Miu, small and with hobnails to Alexander Wang with the famous Diego Bag.

Also big fashion chains like Topshop or MANGO have pouch bags on their current collections.
