Pretty in lingerie

A quick search for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley confirms my suspicions: we usually see the model and her bee-stung lips in ultra-sexy outfits, sometimes nothing at all. Changing pace (though still, admittedly, in lingerie) Rosie’s shoot for Monsoon is more to the pretty, delicate side.

Eberjey’s Affordable Line for Ann Taylor

Eberjey will launch a new and inexpensive line of lingerie exclusively at Ann Taylor stores and anntaylor.com called Bluebird by Eberjey. Sensing a need in the marketplace for quality and affordable intimates, the company decided to create the new line, which will include bralets, camisoles and panties that cost about half the price of traditional Eberjey products.

“We saw a need at the specialty store level for a line of everyday panties that are cute yet reasonably priced,” said co-founder and president of Eberjey, Mariela Rovito, in a press release. “The bluebird girl cares about her underpinnings, but doesn’t want to spend too much. She’s somewhat bored with the options available to her and is looking for panties that will liven up her lingerie drawer.” Ali Mejia, creative director and co-founder of Eberjey added: “While fit is still the number one priority, comfort and cuteness are tied for second.”

The initial launch will be comprised of three groupings: Amaya, which is set in featherweight mesh and lace ($16 to $28); Sienna, made of powernet and meant for everyday wear ($18 to $16); and Isabella, made of delicate galloon lace ($16 to $36).

Damaris Lingerie S/S 2010

This morning started out just right. An e-mail from Damaris told me the brand’s new spring/summer 2010 collection is now available for purchasing on their Web site. You better hurry if you want to grab some of the beautiful and sexy pieces the new collection offers because it is selling out fast!

The collection includes seven groupings: Alluring (£108-£148); Reverie (£94-£148); Heavenly (£94-£105); Enchanting (£86-£210); Whispering (£94-£148); Dreaming (£81-£148); and Enticing (£94-£210). Apart from the high prices, it sounds fabulous doesn’t it? Well it is! See a look from each of the groupings below along with short descriptions written by Damaris.

Alluring (top): The most vivid and chic combination for the Spring and Summer months with a rainbow of the most captivating Swarovski crystals in the entire collection — from ruby to jade to sapphire. The Alluring three-piece set lavishes in French Leavers Lace and exclusive fiery fushcia tones; a story you dare to wear.

Dreaming (left): Pastels are everywhere this Spring/Summer and so Damaris brings you a softer hue in the classically dreamy set of Dreaming. A story for alternative tone and intricate detail with a beautiful draping bow for the bra; perhaps the softest of all designs this season in a lemon silk satin stretch chiffon.

Enchanting (right): For sparkling beauty and the most intricate story this season, look no further than the charismatic set of Enchanting. Full of striking designs, trims and alternatives such as the floor length gown. This is a truly majestic story, born from the most delicate Chantilly Leavers Lace.

Heavenly (left): A beautiful iridescent French lace in a euphoric mermaid form brands this story, truly heavenly. A simple two-piece set for a distinctive feel that also finds itself bejeweled with an array of Swarovski crystals.

Enticing (right): A lethal layering of black French leopard lace and lashings of jet-black Swarovski crystals, with an abundance of knickers to choose from and quirky additions such as the suspender belt and ruched body. This is a sophisticated and super necessary story for this season.
